Salwa Postal Code — All Blocks and P.O. Box Codes Kuwait

The Salwa postal code is 25600 for the general area. Salwa is located in Hawally Governorate, Kuwait. Each block carries its own five-digit code in the 256XX range — Block 1 uses 25601 through Block 12 which uses 25612. P.O. Box addresses in Salwa use a separate code range starting at 25851. Kuwait does not use ZIP codes — that is a United States postal term.

What to Do Now

1. Find your block in the street address table below and note the five-digit code
2. For P.O. Box addresses — find your box number range in the P.O. Box table and use that code
3. Confirm current codes at moc.gov.kw before submitting on official forms

Salwa Postal Codes by Block

Salwa is divided into 12 numbered blocks, each assigned a unique five-digit code by the Ministry of Communications (MOC). The general area code 25600 does not route to individual blocks — using it for a street address causes automated sorting failure at the Kuwait postal facility.

All Salwa postal codes begin with 25 — the two-digit prefix identifying the Hawally Governorate sub-zone assigned to Salwa. Any five-digit code that does not begin with 25 does not belong to Salwa and will cause a routing failure.

Salwa Block 1 postal code is 25601. This code — and every block-specific code in the 256XX range — is used for street address deliveries, courier shipments, PACI Civil ID home delivery requests and bank KYC address verifications for Salwa addresses.

Salwa P.O. Box Postal Codes

P.O. Box addresses in Salwa use a 258XX code range — entirely separate from the street block codes in the 256XX range. The Ministry of Communications assigns one code per 100 P.O. Box numbers. The range runs from 25851 to 25890 covering boxes 1 to 4000.

To find your P.O. Box code — locate the range your box number falls within. P.O. Box 250 falls in the 201 to 300 range, so the correct code is 25853.

The P.O. Box code range (258XX) and the street block code range (256XX) are two entirely separate systems covering the same geographic area. Using a block code such as 25603 for a P.O. Box address routes to a different sorting stream and causes delivery failure.

In practice Salwa residents submitting Civil ID home delivery requests through PACI frequently enter 25600 as the general area code rather than the block-specific code. PACI’s address verification system does not accept the general code for home delivery — it requires the exact block code to confirm the delivery zone. Entering 25600 triggers an automatic rejection on the PACI portal regardless of how accurate the rest of the address fields are.

How to Address Mail to Salwa Correctly

The Ministry of Communications manages all Kuwait postal codes including those for Salwa in Hawally Governorate. For any delivery or official submission, the correct five-digit block code must appear in the postal code field — the general area code 25600 is not sufficient.

For street addresses:

Recipient Full Name

Postal Code: 25605
Kuwait

For P.O. Box addresses:

Recipient Full Name
P.O. Box [Number]

ZIP code is a United States Postal Service term and does not apply in Kuwait. When international e-commerce platforms prompt for a ZIP code for a Salwa address, enter the five-digit Kuwait postal number for your specific block. Entering 00000 as a placeholder causes the shipment to be flagged at Kuwait customs clearance.

As of 2026, Salwa has 12 confirmed residential blocks with codes 25601 to 25612. Salwa does not have a separate industrial zone with a distinct postal prefix — all addresses in Salwa use the 256XX range for streets and 258XX for P.O. Boxes.

FAQs:

1.What is the postal code for Salwa Kuwait

The Salwa general area postal code is 25600. Individual residential blocks use codes 25601 through 25612, with Block 1 using 25601 and Block 12 using 25612. Salwa is located in Hawally Governorate, Kuwait. For P.O. Box addresses, a separate 258XX range applies — P.O. Box 1 to 100 uses code 25851, up to P.O. Box 3901 to 4000 which uses 25890.

2.What is the zip code for Salwa Kuwait

Kuwait does not use ZIP codes — the correct term is postal code or postal number. The Salwa general area five-digit postal code is 25600, with residential block codes running from 25601 to 25612. When international platforms ask for a ZIP code for a Salwa address, enter the block-specific Kuwait postal number. The general code 25600 is acceptable for international parcels but the block-specific code is required for all official Kuwait government and bank submissions.

3.Can I use the same Salwa postal code for both street and P.O. Box addresses

No. Street addresses in Salwa use block codes in the 256XX range — 25601 to 25612. P.O. Box addresses use a separate 258XX range — 25851 for boxes 1 to 100, through 25890 for boxes 3901 to 4000. The two systems are routed through different sorting streams at the Kuwait postal facility. Using a street block code for a P.O. Box address or vice versa causes routing failure and delivery delays.
